Bliss
Bliss is a 1 of 1 digital artwork that exists exclusively on a single industrial-grade computer. That computer is contained in a sealed doomsday-ready capsule and is currently buried under 3 feet of soil.
Should the apocalypses come about while Bliss is buried, it will survive, allowing it to exist as an art piece beyond the end of the world, in whatever form it may take.
The pressure vessel is a custom form made of 90 lbs. of cast-iron, with at least 1” of thickness on all walls. The exterior is powder coated to prevent corrosion, and is sealed using a Viton™ gasket sandwiched between the two machined faces of the lid and the vessel body. To keep it sealed, the lid is held on with x12 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts. To ensure additional resiliency against disaster, a further layer of EMI gasketing guarantees that the contained computer is resilient to all threats.
