Cleaning up the Neighborhood

This site specific work patrolled the premises of the Pan-Tilt-Zoom show, assuring that all of the art within the designated space was protected by an automated air of authority. Mounted on top of a standard robotic vacuum was a cutout of a rendered police officer, that at regular intervals would detach from its charging dock and patrol the space hosting the show. As the show was otherwise closed to viewers except via the ceiling mounted security camera, Cleaning up the Neighborhood served the purpose of docent, guard, janitor, and gallerist, all for far cheaper than waged employee or even its cousin, the Knightscope K5.

It even vacuumed up the floors. What utility.
